I think in the end of his carrerr, khabib was surprize about fighters in his division which is not near in his level. I mean he got injured several times just because hard training camp or wrestling match with his dagestani crew, so he must be had high level preparation for his next opponent in LW division. But when he's in the cage, he must be starting to feel that all of his sacrifice w/ high level training that comes w/ high level risk of injury doesn't meet the reality of his opponent skill level that below his skill that he already prepare. He almost never changed his fight style, because he doesn't have to. No fighter in his division has the answer to his ground game. He basically tell his opponent his game plan, execute it like he said, still nobody could at least survive from him, let that even think of defeat him. That's just crazy. That's one of crazy perspective to lose his passion to fight anymore. Come far away from Dagestan to UFC to challenge himself, come w/ high expectation and come up w/ conclusion that no one near his level. I bet he feel more challenge and more threat when he had fought in dagestan/fight w/ someone from his crew like islam/usman than all official fought he had in LW division 😅
